Les Gets is a great choice for families. Its relaxed village atmosphere is so popular with many families that they return for holiday after holiday.

Les Gets has acquired the "P'You will be banned if you post this ad Montagnards" label by the Ski France Organisation, which means that extremely high importance is given to the welcome, safety and well-being of children on holiday here.

There is a ski area for children only. The Grand Cry Territory is aimed at 5 to 12 yr olds. It is all themed around Trappers and Indians, with Wigwams, Snakes eggs and many other themed objects. There are two lifts serving runs including bumps and banked corners so the children can learn to ski whilst having fun! This area is easily accessible from the top of the Chavannes bubble lift.

Good wholesome homemade meals that are both healthy and delicious. These are not in budget chalets, they are in excellent chalets with a holiday designed to the needs of families.

Infants 6 months to 4 yrs

Our local Nursery is Les Fripouilles. This caters for children from 6 months to 4 years in the Maison des Gets. It is open everyday except Saturday, you can contact them on +33 (0)4 50 79 84 84. Click here for more information.

We can gladly help you here, though the nursery do request to talk to all the parents directly at some point, so please feel free to call them, they speak english!

Children 4 - 12 yrs

The Ski School (E.S.F.) run childcare facilities for the older ones. They have Le club des p'You will be banned if you post this ad montagnys, an activity club for 4 to 12 yr olds. Here your little ones are looked after when they are not at ski lessons and can also be given lunch (in a nearby restaurant).

Les Gets is great for family ski holidays with great ski school provision for the little ones. Ski-in-ski-out accessibility is also a huge bonus. If you are looking for nightlife and non-skiing activities, though, Les Gets ski holidays can be a little sleepy. There are a couple of clubs, but not the variety of other resorts.Overall, Les Gets is an attractive spot with good local skiing and the rest of the Portes du Soleil fairly accessible.
