Mopeds are fuel-efficient, simple to operate, and convenient for city travel; they do not, however, offer a rider many options for hauling. Because of this issue, some of the most popular types of moped accessories are trunks and baskets. A moped trunk is a simple container that attaches to the rear of a moped, usually hanging over the back wheel, that can be opened, closed, and locked to carry small cargo.

Moped accessory are covers to keep the elements from ruining a bike. Trunks and baskets are frequently added to a moped to increase its hauling capacity. Mirrors, horns, and locks are other accessories that can be purchased to customize a moped.
