War tourism is a term the media uses to describe the idea of recreational travel to war zones for purposes of sightseeing and superficial voyeurism. War tourist is also a pejorative term to describe thrill seeking in dangerous and forbidden places.

War tourism is definition made by the media to describe leisure travels to war zones for sightseeing. War tourist is a term given to describe the adventure and excitement of going to dangerous places.
War tourism is popular in war-torn countries like Lebanon, Myanmar and Colombia where some tourists have actually been caught in war regions and active war zones. It is supposedly a thrill for people to describe themselves as war tourists.
