Hello
# If you’re pear-shaped, be sure to choose jeans that provide an easy fit. Loose-fitting styles won't be clingy. Tight jeans are the last thing we pears need!
Look for slightly flared hems or boot-cut styles. Both will detract attention away from pears’ problem areas -- the thighs, saddlebags and derriere.
# Boat neck necklines, which are popular for spring’s ¾ length sleeve tops, have a slimming effect on the upper body.
# Pulling your hair up and away from your shoulders will peel away pounds. Try sweeping your hair into a high ponytail and you'll be surprised at how much slimmer your face looks.
# Not only are vertical- and pin-stripes slimming, but asymmetrical stripes such as miter stripe blouses and tunics also work. They have a lengthening effect on your upper body.
# A sheer blouse over a matching opaque tank skims the body so your entire silhouette looks slimmer.
# If you worry about your waistline, try some jeans or pants that sit low on your hips, as they will slenderize your trouble spot. Slacks that have a waist that hit just below your navel will make your midriff seem longer and slimmer.
# If you're burdened with a belly bulge, choose relaxed fit jeans. The elasticized waist may help tame that bothersome tummy. Pleat-fronted pants will balloon your middle, so they're a definite don't. Flat front and side-zip styles are a do.

Hi
I completely agree with you! If you dress appropriately for your body shape then you don't need "shapewear". My mom hangs onto stuff she hasn't been able to wear for years waiting until she can wear it again. A person looks worse if they have gained weight and they wear crapy clothes because they feel bad about themselves. Dress the body you have don't wait until you loose weight to buy cute clothes. I refuse to wear shapewear! My grandmother had me wearing it when I was 10 and when I was old enough I said, "NO WAY!".
Thanks

Use your wardrobe as a secret weapon. No, it won’t actually help you lose weight. But the right clothes can help you look a lot thinner while you’re in the process of slimming down.“It is totally amazing, but any woman can look 5, 10, even 15 pounds slimmer automatically by simply using a few fashion tricks to fool the eye,” says Lourdes Figueroa, founder and chief executive officer of UdefineU, a DVD program that teaches women how to become their own stylists.According to Figueroa, many of those “perfect” bodies we see parading around in movies and on TV are nothing more than the result of some very clever shopping.“Essentially, they use clothes to balance their bodies and put everything in proportion, which is really what dressing slim is all about,” says Figueroa, now a size 8, but once a size 20 herself.
Have a nice day
