* IID House
To truly visualize and inspire you, a life size home will be built at the event in which the iid (the South African Institute of the Interior Design Professions) have set five of their top designers the task of designing a room. Sponsored by Freeworld Coatings, the iid will be pushing the envelope of décor innovation by designing the interior of the house - five designers, seven rooms and seven amazing design concepts is what this feature is about. The iid House will consist of a lounge, dining area, kitchen, two bedrooms, study and a bathroom.
* Celebrity Chefs Theatre
Visitors will be wowed by South Africa’s top culinary wizards who are all going to be available to share their latest in foodie tips and seasonal trends on the Grand Designs Live Chefs Theatre.
* Eco House
The Grand Designs Live Eco House is an innovative, low-energy building that has been designed to meet passive energy standards. Built from a modular engineered timber frame, it is designed to be constructed very quickly on site at the event.

the Grand Designs Live Show has been taking place at the Excel Centre in London. There are over 500 exhibitors and displays, showcasing ways to design, improve and power your home.
